You don’t have to be “advanced” to take the advanced open water course– it’s designed to advance your diving, so you can start right after earning your Open Water Diver certification.

The course helps build confidence and expand your scuba skills through different Adventure Dives. You try out different specialties while gaining experience under the supervision of your Instructor. You log dives and develop capabilities as you find new ways to have fun scuba diving.

Course Information:

The SSI Advanced Adventurer provides certified divers an introduction into five (5) different SSI Specialty programs under the direct supervision of an SSI Professional. The first open water training dive from the following specialty programs can be counted toward the Advanced Adventurer program:

• Boat Diving
• Deep Diving
• Dry Suit Diving
• Enriched Air Nitrox (EAN)
• Navigation
• Night & Limited Visibility
• Perfect Buoyancy
• Photo & Video
• Scooter/DPV Diving
• Search & Recovery
• Waves, Tides & Currents
• Wreck Diving

Prerequisites:

• An Open Water diver certification or Junior Open Water
• Must be at least 12 years old for trying Deep diving
